Angela Brunner

Coach Brunner has been coaching youth & high school lacrosse in the Atlanta area since 2007. She is in seventh year teaching and coaching at Lassiter High School in Marietta, Georgia. Previously she coached for Centennial high school where she took the team from 6-10 in 2010 to 17-1-1 in 2013. Coach Brunner has coached for local and national club teams, including XTEAM and ATL. She is also an Under Armour All-America Coach in 2017. Coach Brunner was also a two time US Lacrosse National Southeast Region Team coach. She has had 6 final four appearances as a head coach.

Coach Brunner grew up in Annapolis, Maryland and began playing lacrosse in fifth grade. She played lacrosse at South River High School in Edgewater, Maryland. Coach Brunner was a member of two state championship teams her senior year in both lacrosse and field hockey. After High School, she played two years of Lacrosse at Limestone College. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2005 where she played club lacrosse. Currently, Coach Brunner teaches Health at Lassiter High School. She earned her Master’s degree from Valdosta State University in 2010. Coach Brunner is married to Daniel Brunner, who also teaches in Cobb County and coaches’ varsity football. She has two beautiful children, Daniel Jr., and Charlie Grace and two playful Boxer’s named Otis and Bella.

Coach Brunner cares deeply about coaching, her players, her coaching staff, and the community. She has developed a system on how to be an effective yet positive coach. Coach Brunner develops meaningful relationships with other coaches and members of the lacrosse community and is always looking for ways to improve.
